The Story

Orchard Woodwork is a one-man business proudly based in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Known as the Orchard County for its abundant apple orchards, Armagh serves as the perfect inspiration behind the name of my business.

The journey began in 2020 when I decided to dedicate more time to my passion for woodworking, a craft I've cherished since my teenage years. I started modestly, purchasing a few tools to create my first cutting board. While the initial attempt wasn't perfect and may not have been the best use of a fine piece of walnut, it reignited a passion I had nearly forgotten in the midst of my day-to-day office job. As I explored new techniques and got more creative with ideas, I began producing pieces I felt confident enough to sell. In the summer of 2021, I made my first sale on Etsy—a charcuterie board. It wasn't an overnight success, but it confirmed that there was genuine interest in my work.

Today, I continue to run Orchard Woodwork alongside my full-time job, with the goal of one day turning this passion into a full-time career. There's still much growth needed to reach that milestone, but with every purchase you make, I get one step closer to achieving it.
